Yesterday at the outdoor mini ramp I suddenly managed to do kickturns. Today we were indoors. And I kept on doing kickturns in the mini.  So cool and fun. I can keep on going on forever. That’s a very cool feeling.
Well what’s next?

No more limp

My foot is almost recovered. I can make manuals at home. Still feeling some pain but might mostly be part of the lack of mobility. Haven´t been doing enough rehab exercises.

It does not feel as bad as I feared to skate again. Trying the mini ramp. I think I will wait a bit until I get back to skating in Highvalley.
Two months without skating is actually quite sad. I have been missing it.




Just started  my carving  career  in one of the  pools  in HV. Slowmotion carving  since  I  know what  can go  wrong when  you  ride  in concrete pool.

Then autumn hit us. Rainy, windy, chili!
So indoor season  starts  again.  Well at least some days  are  just awful.
The outdoor  coldstore mini is OK some days. Weather  is very changeable.
In the  mini, both  inside the coldstore and outside is  now conquered. I can pick upp speed and go as high  up as  I dare.
Now I am on  to  making  kickturns and starting up in the slope, jumping on to the deck. Scary. All this  stuff  is so basic they don’t even have  names :).
Well  exept for kickturn.
I am better at kickturns now since I realised that I was  busy looking at the deck and my feet. That’s wrong!
Turn you head in the new direction and voilà suddenly it is much easier.


It is just  like being a child  again! The joy when something works.
I don’t  care that  much if the coldstore is a bit crowded anymore. Still skate where there is an empty spot.

Indoors and Outdoors

Now I´ve been to the miniramp and in the coldstore. Kind of starting to be able to push and keep rolling for a while. And that is just such a great, fun, cool feeling to finally manage…just like learning to bike 🙂 It suddenly just works. Not for long and not high up i the ramp but it works.
I would like to skate the vert in the bottom and just surf up and round. Seems so cool.
Will be my next goal, to dare skate in the big ramp again.
Yesterday it was completely empty. And I like that.

Not a single person. Empty.


I am kind of pleased with myself. I have that feeling of flow in the mini! Really great feeling. Get tired very fast. This is good training for your legs and feet! The balancing is hard training for the small muscles in the feet. And for heart and lungs. Doesn’t take long before I have to rest. Maybe it is  partly due to the long awaited summerheat. Short sessions as often as possible. 


Today was great, great fun. I managed to roll back and forth in the mini! Had to give myself an extra push every now and then. But it was so, so fun and I felt so happy. It is much less boring when I can  vary what I do. Mini, cruise down the slope,  turn around while rolling, turn in the mini.


It gave me the urge back. Now it seems like I manage to do what I set out as my goals.  They aren’t that high.  😀


Realized what was the matter, some virus. Can’t skate, can’t run. Taking some days off. Hopefully things will feel better next time. Still working on getting flow and speed. This is really a longterm project. The injury was a bad bad drawback!


I  so want to skate and get a little better. Maybe swirl or what ever it’s called.
